/ resort in japan

company retreat, karuizawa, japan, 2005

This monumental project featured large, angled jambs, rake windows and a variety of interior doors. Ipe, an extremely dense and durable exotic ironwood, was integrated with clear Douglas fir to highlight focal openings. Unison worked closely with Japan's Daisho Corporation to maintain the rigorous quality standards inherent in dealing with overseas installation. The scale and complexity of this international project emphasize Unison's custom production and global business capabilities.
